Easy Strip-y Backgrounds

I accumulate A LOT of 1/2" strips when I'm cutting layers for cards. If you do too, this is a great technique to use them up!

For this card I picked some strips from my stash that would go together and mimic a sunset.

Then I used the INSPIRED THOUGHTS bundle (INSPIRED THOUGHTS stamp set and INSPIRING CANOPY dies) to complete my card. Doesn't the black silhouette of the trees look great?!

This picture shows a little peek of the tree theme I continued on the inside to give the card additional interest.

I am loving the trees in INSIPING CANOPY dies, and the die that does the hills really gives the trees extra dimension. Be sure to check out the rest of the dies in this set here. The INSPIRED THOUGHTS stamp set has so many sentiments to choose from---this little "HELLO" is just the tip of what is included in this set. Check out those sentiments out here.
