Circle Sayings Cupcake - 2023-2024 Annual Catalog - Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

I'm excited to be participating in this Stamping With Friends Blog Hop showcasing products from the new 2023-2024 Annual Catalog! Doesn't Everyone Love a Pink Cupcake?


Use your imagination to think about how wonderful it would be to eat a strawberry filled cupcake with strawberry cream cheese frosting---YUM! This card is perfect for any celebratory occasion. 

It was quick & easy to make using the CIRCLE SAYINGS Bundle, the BRIGHT & BEAUTIFUL Designer Series Paper (DSP) and the NIGHT OF NAVY 3/8" BORDERED RIBBON. The cardsock colors of Misty Moonlight and Berry Burst were taken from the colors in the 1" (2.5 cm) strip of DSP. It's amazing what just a small strip of colorful pattern will do to jazz up a card, and with such a small strip you can make LOTS of cards! Scroll down to see all of the supplies used. 


The "Celebrate" image was stamped in Misty Moonlight ink and the cupcake was stamped in Berry Burst ink. Then dry Watercolor Pencils were used to color it. It was easy to do and no worries about ink smearing! 

And the cupcake image is quickly fussy cut by hand and then popped-up with dimensionals.

    Embossing With Dies Technique - Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

     


    I'm excited to be participating in this Stamping With Friends Blog Hop showcasing the "Dry Embossing with Dies" Technique. I'm sure you are just as excited as I am to see all of the different styles in this blog hop, so be sure to "hop" all the way around to see every demonstrator's blog post. 




    A Little Patriotic Flair


    I created this card for a friend that is retiring from the Air Force Reserves after 30 years. I used the WONDERFUL THOUGHTS Bundle for the sentiment, SILHOUETTE Dies for the embossed stars, and NESTED ESSENTIALS Dies for the shape. I also attached Blueberry Bushel (1/2") and Real Red (3/8") cardstock strips to a 3" x 5" piece of Basic White cardstock along with the star embossed 5/8" strip of Silver Foil specialty paper. 



    This graphic shows the sandwich I used to dry emboss the little star die along the Silver Foil strip.
