Old World Feel
This YOUR PATH AWAITS stamp set reminds me of pictures showing Italian and other old world villages. (One day I hope to visit all of Europe 😃). My dear hubby suggested I buy this "build a scene" DisINKtive stamp set. Distinktive stamp sets have a special texture that gives added depth and dimension in a single step.* And this card shows just one of several "scenes" you can build. I'm sure I will have fun creating more cards with this set in the future!
*Tip: If your ink pad is extra "juicy" you may need to push down some of the ink with a spoon or old bone folder so that there isn't as much ink on the surface of the pad. Too much ink on your pad can negate the dimension disINKtive stamps are meant to give.
Don't you love how the stamped images are designed to fit together? For most of the images I have done 2nd generation stamping---stamped the images off on grid paper before I stamped them onto my Basic White stamped background piece. For the doorways and windows I stamped full strength directly over the previously stamped 2nd generation building image.
As you can see, I only used ink colors from the 2023-2025 In Color ink palette. I used Boho Blue, Wild Wheat, Copper Clay, andPebbled Path(every color except Moody Mauve). And I paired the YOUR PATH AWAITS stamp set with the STYLISH SHAPES die set.

This is going to be such a great Technique Tuesday Blog Hop---It's fun folds! I'm sure you are just as excited as I am to see many different ways to fold a card showcased in this blog hop. So be sure to "hop" all the way around to see every demonstrator's blog post.
It's So Easy . . .
to fall in love... (did you sing that? 😄) with this super easy fun fold card! I'm always on the lookout for easy to make fun fold cards and in my search I came across this one shown here by Jackie Bolhuis. I CASE'd her layout and fun fold but used the current CHEERFUL DAISIES Bundle and the FRESH AS A DAISY Designer Series Paper (DSP). This card is a great use of DSP and you can get this---and many other designs---on sale through the end of this month, June 2023 (see info below this blog post).
I used the coordinating colors (Basic White, Bubble Bath, Moody Mauve and Wild Wheat) from the DSP and paired it with the 3/8" Sheer Ribbon Combo Pack in the Bubble Bath color. I also used the 2-3/8" CIRCLE Punch and finished off the card front with the 2023-2025 IN COLOR DOTS.
Here are the card measurements:
Card Base: 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ (21 x 14.9 cm)
Score at 2″ and 6″ (5 x 15 cm)
DSP:
(top) 2-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ (5.5 x 14.4 cm)
(bottom) 1-3/4″ x 5-1/4″ (4.5 x 14.4 cm)
Inside Card: 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″ (8.5 x 12 cm)
Die Cut scraps for daisy, leaves and flower center
Circle: 2-3/8″ (6 cm)
And the inside of the card has a pocket for a quick handwritten note and even room for a gift card if you wish!
